Statewide Impact of Iowa PIRC

Two new maps show the statewide impact of PIRC.

Map One shows the 78 Parents as Teachers Programs in Iowa, operating in collaboration with school districts, higher education, Head Start, and community based organizations. The Iowa PIRC offers and provides all new training and curriculum materials to the home visitors in these programs.  PIRC also supports and sponsors Networking meetings for PAT directors as they work to insure quality implementation. This map also includes Family Learning Time, which brings PAT families together six times during the year for children 1-3 years of age.

Map Two shows PIRC's Sustaining Parent Involvement (SPIN) sites and the extensive Iowa Sustaining Parent Involvement Network (iSPIN) sites that PIRC works with for 3 years. This map also includes the Partnering in Communities (PIC) program provided in collaboration with ISU extension.
