The Association for Career and Technical Education has detailed the three major skill areas a youth needs in order to be ready to move on from high school. What Does Your Youth Need in Order to be "Career Ready" and "College Ready" Iowa I Have a Plan is designed to help students and parents discover a path to success after high school. Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a grant program is designed to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. Know How 2 Go is a great site for parents to share with their youth - middle school and older. The site gives a lot of tips to students about how to prepare for a college starting as early as middle school. Go on tour of campuses that you are interested in without even living home at the Campus Tour website. |
